As remote and hybrid working continues to evolve, organizations are encountering yet another series of challenges regarding the presence and productivity of their workforce. The emergence of attendance management software is a beneficial solution to mitigate the distance factor for teams and facilitating accountability at varying levels. An employee may be working from a different municipal city or a co-working space, but the hours can still be logged or tracked without the complicated micromanagement often present within remote work. This gives organizations the ability to maintain flexibility with the lack of accountability. Employees can better keep track of their daily hours or overtime or absences while employers now have real-time data to leverage on that same level to make decisions around teams and staffing or planning shifts. Not to mention in remote working HR teams, who traditionally were dependent on manual updates through emails or over the phone.
In remote working environments, we have less opportunities to interact face-to-face and when we are faced with distance or less interaction there should be transparency and visibility to back professional trust. This to say that attendance monitoring or tracking tools operate in a similar fashion by holding workplaces accountable, and allowing employer's efforts (potentially even more than physical contributions) to be tracked whilst contributing from a place away from the organization’s primary operational base.
The meaningful shift in today's ever-changing work environment is creating structure and flexibility for freedom, and these tools provide exactly that.
